The first afternoon of the quarantine

Anik enters Vesper Halt and confirms that an escaped first-person parasite has permanently removed the word and grammatical structure of “I” from the townspeople. They trap and apparently destroy its body, but learn the missing Harl Venn may be distributed beneath the town; then Anik’s throat produces an unknown correction claiming the subject is distributed, prompting Iven to warn them not to repeat it.
