The Voice Beneath the Elder Root

One rainy twilight

While sheltering beneath the elder tree, Nerisai hears and follows the frightened voice of Orivane, a sealed crystal intelligence hidden in a root-bound hollow. Her touch breaks the enchantment and awakens the first dreamscape, but the release is detected by an unknown presence in the forest, forcing Nerisai and Orivane to flee together toward her clan.
