The Locked Study

That same evening

Demoted Detective Imogen Calloway arrives at Quill House and finds philanthropist Bartholomew Quill dead in his locked study. Evidence points neatly toward housekeeper Sera Lindqvist: her criminal past, access to the room, missing cash, and no alibi, but Imogen notices a recently opened window and an unusually convenient note addressed to her. Rather than arrest Sera, Imogen seals the house and orders the estate and Quill’s routines investigated.
