One night and the following morning

Mara receives a transmission on the sealed Blackwater storm channel in what sounds like her missing brother Daniel’s voice, followed by a cryptic warning about seven doors beneath the water. She discovers that emergency calls from Blackwater have been erased, receives a photograph from disgraced journalist Jonah Reed, and hears Daniel warn her that someone—or something—can hear her.
